About us
Zak Mobility provides peace of mind to its customers, through carefully considered and detailed engineering solutions. Zak Mobility’s wheels are configurable, minimal maintenance, robust and can be retrofitted to existing vehicles, therefore improving reliability, reducing costs, and improving efficiencies.
Get in touchOur story
Shifting our transport from diesel and petrol to electric is essential for us to live sustainably and achieve Net Zero targets. This is where the seeds behind the idea of Zak Mobility started to flourish.
Prompted by the emergence of the rapidly growing eCargo bike market, Sam Pearce, Founder of Zak Mobility, sought to develop a solution that is not only reliable and cost-effective but tested and safe – intrinsic to the future success of this emerging sector.
Zak Mobility’s innovative, patented technology supports key drivers for the move to new types of urban transport, last-mile delivery, and adventure or utility vehicles. Its team of talented and experienced engineers have designed a wheel that works in unison with the vehicle through its use of high-performance composite springs.
The result? More chassis space, minimal maintenance, lower running costs and peace of mind, from beginning to end.
Our founder
Sam Pearce, CEO
With a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Product Design (Industrial Design), Sam possesses over 30 years’ experience of creating ideas and turning them into mechanical products.
Sam has always been interested in how mechanical things work and go together. As a child, he received a technical Lego set which in turn inspired him to develop his own designs – in fact, Sam still uses this set to this day to test out new mechanisms.
Prior to creating Zak Mobility and with over seven granted patents to his name, Sam worked with Loopwheels, taking them from a wheelchair wheel start-up to a successful, scaling company.
Sam thrives on creating innovative products that improve the needs of its customers, in a meaningful and beneficial way. His interests lie in combining the best engineering with the aesthetic of an industrial designer, to create an optimised product that improves the day-to-day lives of its users.
Get in touchOur mission
Zak Mobility’s mission is to drive the world of in-wheel suspension forward, in a sustainable, effective, and meaningful way. They foresee that the market will evolve rapidly, believing that eCargo bikes will replace diesel vans in our city centres over the next five years. It is vital now that they become a reliable and affordable route for cargo delivery. Zak Mobility want to provide the wheels to make this happen
The team have worked hard to develop an innovative solution that is cost neutral, with a quicker build time and overall running costs. The solution can also be retrofitted – therefore, reducing costs and operational time. Looking ahead, Zak Mobility aim to enable its customers to meet emerging EN standards, through vigorous and detailed in-house testing.
Through its unique and innovative solution, Zak Mobility aims to enhance the lives of its customers, vastly improving the performance of vehicles and enabling users to operate efficiently and safely.
What’s next?
Our aim for the next few years is to evolve Zak Mobility further and build on the hard work and integration we have been doing across the industry since our inception.
As the market evolves so too will Zak Mobility, to continue creating innovative solutions that leave a meaningful and lasting impact. We are excited for the future and look forward to playing a key role in the sector. Learn more about our key milestones and future objectives, below.
